Language Hub Are you a trained ESOL teacher? Might you have some free time to offer to others?
Here at the language hub we are looking for more people to join our team of volunteer teachers. With the crisis in Ukraine, we foresee that we may be welcoming more students to our classes as people arrive here in the UK.
If you are interested in helping others learn the English language and about our culture, please contact us to find out more. Click here for details.
Community Fridge There are now community fridges in several places locally, where you will be able to come along and help yourself to surplus food from local supermarkets. Click here for details.
Look out for our Anna Chaplain, Anne Milton-Worssell and our team of Anna Friends, who are often to be found at TMP and church events locally. From 18th March for 8 weeks we are running a group called “The Memory Gatherers” where you can choose memories to record for yourself and pass on to your family. Click here for details about Anna Chaplaincy.
Lip Reading classes have also restarted for this term. Click here for details.
Ukrainian Refugees Following a very successful meeting on Saturday 26th March there is now a Facebook group called Bookham Ukrainian Refugee Support for people who would like to be actively involved in welcoming Ukrainian refugees to this area. Come along to the Coffee Shop on Saturday mornings for an informal get-together with others who are interested.
Please ring us on 07425 133431 or use our contact page if you would like more information.
A listening ear for all.
A safe and welcoming place.
